NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) provides financial and technical assistance supporting ranch infrastructure improvements, water management projects, erosion control, vegetation management, and long-term land stewardship operations throughout California.
EQIP programs may help support projects involving:
• Ranch road construction and drainage improvements
• Culverts, rolling dips, and erosion control measures
• Stock ponds and livestock water infrastructure
• Watershed stabilization and runoff management
• Brush removal and vegetation reduction
• Grazing land and rangeland improvements
• Wildfire mitigation and defensible space operations
• Property access improvements in remote terrain
• Soil and water conservation efforts
Arrowhead • Gill Cattle supports ranchers, agricultural landowners, and large rural property operations with heavy equipment services designed to improve long-term access, drainage performance, wildfire resilience, water management, and operational sustainability across demanding working environments throughout California.
Our operations commonly support ranch infrastructure projects involving bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, vegetation management equipment, and remote terrain land improvement operations where proper drainage, erosion control, and long-term accessibility are critical.
How to Apply
EQIP funding opportunities and deadlines vary by region and project type. Landowners are encouraged to contact their local NRCS office to discuss project eligibility, available conservation programs, and application requirements.
For details, visit nrcs.usda.gov or contact your local NRCS office directly.
